La 9\u00aa edici\u00f3n de la convenci\u00f3n BellotaCon acaba de terminar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Una vez m\u00e1s, de jueves a domingo, la sala de actos del hotel elegido por la organizaci\u00f3n se ha llenado de gente, juegos y buenos ratos. Dejo aqu\u00ed mi profundo agradecimiento <\/strong>a los organizadores de las Bellota, as\u00ed como al resto de organizadores de otras convenciones de wargames. En mi opini\u00f3n \u2014que ya he hecho p\u00fablica en el pasado en estos mismos diarios\u2014, las convenciones son una de las \u201cpatas\u201d clave de esta afici\u00f3n. En particular para aquellos que no tienen gente aficionada cerca y para quienes, como yo, estamos dise\u00f1ando juegos empe\u00f1ados en que sean buenos y divertidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En el caso de Guerrilleros<\/em>, tal y como le coment\u00e9 al grand\u00edsimo y encantador Stuka Joe<\/a> en la entrevista que me hizo para explicar de forma general el juego y su contexto, el desarrollo avanza satisfactoriamente. A d\u00eda de hoy podr\u00eda decirse que el dise\u00f1o general est\u00e1 pr\u00e1cticamente terminado y que el desarrollo sit\u00faa al juego aproximadamente en un 70% de su cierre (una cifra estimada, a ojo de buen cubero). Ese 70% puede parecer poco o mucho, seg\u00fan se mire, pero es irrelevante. Lo importante es que el juego se sigue fraguando, a fuego lento pero sin pausa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En este sentido, es tan necesario como justo decir que la ayuda de otro grande, Carlos Gete<\/strong>, a nivel de testeo <\/strong>y especialmente de desarrollo<\/strong>, as\u00ed como las sugerencias y comentarios de toda la gente<\/strong> que tiene a bien probar Guerrilleros<\/em> (en esta Bellota 9: Jonathan, Manuel, Antonio, Dani, Rupert…) dedic\u00e1ndole una o varias partidas, est\u00e1 siendo absolutamente clave en estos avances. Por ello: gracias a todos, de coraz\u00f3n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 9th edition of the BellotaCon convention has just ended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once again, from Thursday to Sunday, the main hall of the hotel chosen by the organisers has been filled with people, games and good times. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the organisers of Bellota, as well as to the organisers of other wargame conventions. In my opinion \u2014which I have already made public in these pages in the past\u2014 conventions are one of the key \u201cpillars\u201d of this hobby. This is especially true for those who do not have fellow enthusiasts nearby and for those who, like me, are designing games and are determined to make them good and enjoyable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the case of Guerrilleros<\/em>, as I told Stuka Joe in the interview he did with me to give a general overview of the game, development is progressing satisfactorily. At present, it could be said that the design is finished and that development places the game at roughly 70% of completion (a figure very much estimated by rule of thumb). That 70% may sound like little, or a lot, but it is ultimately irrelevant. What matters is that the project continues to take shape, slowly but steadily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is both necessary and fair to say that the help of Carlos Gete, at the testing and development level, as well as that of all the people who have been kind enough to test the game by devoting one (or several) sessions to Guerrilleros<\/em>, has been absolutely crucial to this progress. For that reason: thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To close this brief entry, I leave here the link to the YouTube interview that the wonderful and charming Stuka Joe recorded with me during Bellota 9. It is in English, but I hope both I and what I explain come across clearly, because, at the end of the day, the language of wargames is universal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
