  1. Introducci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Entre los d\u00edas 4\u00a0y\u00a0<\/sup>6 de noviembre de\u00a02022\u00a0<\/sup>en la ciudad de Zaragoza he asistido a una gran convenci\u00f3n de wargaming con aproximadamente 200 personas y varios editores (de Espa\u00f1a y del extranjero). All\u00ed he organizado varios gameplays para presentar ‘El Colapso’ y continuar con el playtest del juego y sus mec\u00e1nicas, pero tambi\u00e9n el mapa y su ergonom\u00eda para asegurar que el playtest avance correctamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Escenarios jugados<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Durante los 3 d\u00edas de la convenci\u00f3n, he jugado 12 partidas de diferente duraci\u00f3n, y he probado algunos de los escenarios del juego como el escenario introductorio de 2 turnos de duraci\u00f3n (que est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para mostrar la mec\u00e1nica del juego en progresi\u00f3n de dificultad, incluida la tensi\u00f3n cuando una facci\u00f3n est\u00e1 por delante de los puntos de victoria cu\u00e1les son las opciones que tiene un jugador para superar esto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Otros escenarios jugados incluyeron la marcha del Cardenal Infante Fernando (3 turnos), la Intervenci\u00f3n Danesa (2 turnos) y la Intervenci\u00f3n Sueca (6 turnos), con la Intervenci\u00f3n Francesa (\u00faltimo escenario de juego dise\u00f1ado actualmente para el juego durante 5 turnos) que se jugar\u00e1 en las pr\u00f3ximas sesiones de testeo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3. Objetivos de la prueba de juego<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    El objetivo principal de la prueba de juego era probar que la mec\u00e1nica del juego funcionaba y encajaba en el sistema, sin que nada se rompiera y que la informaci\u00f3n proporcionada a los jugadores fuera precisa. El mapa fue una herramienta para probar la mec\u00e1nica, sin embargo, tambi\u00e9n se prob\u00f3 y los comentarios recibidos se los envi\u00e9 a Donal Hegarty (artista gr\u00e1fico del juego), para arreglarlo y tener un mapa a\u00fan mejor para las pr\u00f3ximas sesiones de prueba. El mapa hecho por Donal Hegarty es maravilloso, y a los jugadores les gust\u00f3, pero por supuesto dieron ideas para mejorarlo, as\u00ed que cuando abras el juego en casa en el futuro, estar seguro de que no hay errores en \u00e9l.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Adem\u00e1s, le he llevado el mapa a varias personas con experiencia en juegos de guerra y expertos en geograf\u00eda, que me brindaron excelentes comentarios para arreglar las ubicaciones de las ciudades y las conexiones del mapa, que adem\u00e1s de la mejora ergon\u00f3mica, estad seguros de que les encantar\u00e1 el mapa mejorado por Donal Hegarty que podr\u00e9is ver en las Bellota Con VI a finales de enero de 2023 en Badajoz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4. El Calypso (mini juego)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Para agradecer a los jugadores por el tiempo y ayudar a probar el juego, les he regalado un minijuego gratuito en tama\u00f1o A4 llamado ‘The Calypso’, cuyo nombre proviene de una broma en una conversaci\u00f3n de Twitter con el artista gr\u00e1fico Nils Johansson, que pens\u00e9 que era un nombre genial y divertido para usar, y que hizo el arte gr\u00e1fico mi amigo Marc Aliaga. La portada del juego tiene la informaci\u00f3n general del juego, y en la parte de atr\u00e1s encontrar\u00e1s las 9 fichas, el mapa del juego y las reglas del juego.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    El minijuego, es un juego muy r\u00e1pido de jugar (entre 5 y 10 minutos), con una abstracci\u00f3n de lo que puede parecer una acci\u00f3n de juego para que un jugador alcance una capital como objetivo final. Los jugadores eligen uno de los 3 l\u00edderes (con su ej\u00e9rcito correspondiente) y lo colocan en la ubicaci\u00f3n de inicio, y los otros 3 l\u00edderes de facci\u00f3n se colocan aleatoriamente en el mapa (el minijuego explica su ubicaci\u00f3n y las reglas del juego).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Ten\u00eda algunas copias adicionales que les di a otros jugadores en la convenci\u00f3n y se agotaron muy r\u00e1pido. Sin embargo, mi intenci\u00f3n es proporcionarlos en el futuro de forma gratuita para todos los jugadores, como Print and Play u otro m\u00e9todo (que a\u00fan no tengo decidido).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Introduction<\/strong>\n
        <\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Between 4th<\/sup>\u00a0and 6th<\/sup>\u00a0November 2022 in the city of Zaragoza I have attended a great wargaming convention with approximately 200 people and several publishers (from Spain and from abroad). There I have organized several game plays to present \u2018The Collapse\u2019 and continue with the playtest of the game and its mechanics, but also the map and its ergonomics to ensure that playtest progress smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        2. Scenarios played<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        During the 3 days of the convention, I have played 12 games with different length and trying some of the game scenarios like the Introductory scenario of 2 turns duration (that is designed to show the game mechanics in difficulty progression, including the tension when a faction is ahead of victory points what are the options for a player to overcome this. Other scenarios played included the march of Cardinal Infante Ferdinand (3 turns), Danish Intervention (2 turns) and the Swedish Intervention (6 turns), with the French Intervention (last game scenario currently designed for the game for 5 turns) to be played at next playtest sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        3. Playtest objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The playtest main objective was to test the game mechanics worked and fit in the system, with nothing broken and the information given to players to be accurate. The map was a tool to test the mechanics, however it was also tested and the feedback received I have forward to Donal Hegarty (game graphic artist of the game), to fix it and have an even better map for next playtest sessions. The map made by Donal Hegarty is wonderful, and players liked it but of course provided ideas to improve it, so when you will open the game in the future at home you will be sure that there are no mistakes on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Furthermore, I have brought the map to several people experienced with wargaming and geographical experts, that provided great feedback to fix city locations and map connections, that besides the ergonomic improvement, be sure that you will love the map improved by Donal Hegarty that will see at Bellota Con VI in later January 2023 at Badajoz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        4. The Calypso<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        In order to thank players for the time and help playtesting the game, I have given for free in an A4 size to them a free mini game called \u2018The Calypso\u2019, with the name coming from a joke on a twitter conversation with the graphic artist Nils Johansson that I thought was a great and funny name to use, and that my friend Marc Aliaga who made the graphic design for the mini game used. The game cover has the general game\u2019 information, and in the back you will find the 9 counters, game map and rules of play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The mini game, is a very fast game to play (between 5 and 10 minutes), with an abstraction of what may look like a game action for a player to reach a capital as the goal. Players choose one of the 3 leaders (with their correspondent army) and place it on the start location, and the other 3 faction leaders are placed randomly on the map (the mini game explains their placement and the game rules).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        I had some extra copies that I gave to other players at the convention, and that were run out very fast. However, my intention is to provide them in the future for free for all players, like Print and Play or another one (not decided yet).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        5. What comes at next article<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        At the next article, I will describe the 1st<\/sup> of the 4 game\u2019 phases (Planning Phase) and what to expect at next wargaming convention (Bellota Con VI) that I will attend in Badajoz between next 26th<\/sup> and 29th<\/sup> January 2023<\/p>\n\n\n\n
