    Entre los d\u00edas 26 y 29 de enero de 2023 en la bell\u00edsima ciudad de Badajoz he asistido a una gran convenci\u00f3n de wargames y juegos hit\u00f3ricos con 370 personas y varios editores (de Espa\u00f1a y del extranjero como NAC Wargames, Draco Ideas, Trafalgar Editions, Bellica 3rd Generation, Do It Games, Headquarter Games, VUCA Simulations, Nuts Publishing, International Team).<\/p>\n\n\n\n


    All\u00ed he organizado varias partidas para presentar \u2018El Colapso\u2019 y continuar con el testeo del juego y sus mec\u00e1nicas, pero tambi\u00e9n del mapa junto al artista gr\u00e1fico del juego Donal Hegarty y su ergonom\u00eda para asegurar que el testeo avance sin problemas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Durante los 3 d\u00edas de la convenci\u00f3n, he jugado muchas partidas de diferente duraci\u00f3n, donde los jugadores sin necesidad de registrarse han podido probar el juego uno o varios turnos, comentar sus impresiones y darme consejos para seguir mejorando el juego lo que es de gran ayuda para su desarrollo y para m\u00ed como dise\u00f1ador del juego.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    El objetivo principal de la prueba de juego era probar que las mec\u00e1nicas del juego funcionaban y encajaba en el sistema, sin que nada se rompiera y que la informaci\u00f3n proporcionada a los jugadores fuera precisa. El juego lo he actualizado con varias sugerencias que han dejado listas las mec\u00e1nicas para ajustar tan solo valores y \u00faltimos ajustes. Durante este mes de febrero editar\u00e9 el reglamento y hojas de ayuda para que sean claros y c\u00f3modos de usar los documentos, y el m\u00f3dulo de vassal para a principios de marzo probablemente abrir el testeo en abierto a quien est\u00e9 interesado en participar, y que ser\u00e1 en espa\u00f1ol o ingl\u00e9s, vassal o PnP para que la gente pueda elegir el modo de testear que prefieran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


    El mapa fue una herramienta para probar ajustes y contrastes de colores, que no es el definitivo, y que estuve probando una ma\u00f1ana entera junto al artista gr\u00e1fico del juego Donal Hegarty que vino a las Bellota desde Escocia, y con Nils Johansson. Acordamos muchas ideas que van a mejorar el mapa, fichas y cartas, para mejorar tanto la ergonom\u00eda y comodidad de los jugadores y jugadoras, aspecto gr\u00e1fico y simplicidad de informaci\u00f3n, y unas sorpresas MUY interesantes para los escenarios de juego que expondr\u00e9 m\u00e1s adelante y que har\u00e1n disfrutar a la experiencia del juego.     \u2018El Colapso\u2019 una vez haya avanzado el testeo en abierto en vassal y PnP, se ajustar\u00e1 y finalmente habr\u00e1 un testeo en ciego del juego con personas que no han probado el juego y que har\u00e1n los \u00faltimos ajustes del juego como si el juego acabase de salir a la venta y abriesen el juego y asegurar que todo funcione.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


    Con este feedback y todos los componentes ajustados (mapa, fichas, cartas, etc.), junto con una especial atenci\u00f3n al cromatismo del juego y otros elementos a ajustar para que pueda jugar con comodidad las personas con problemas de visi\u00f3n, llevar\u00e9 el juego a las jornadas Pax L\u00fadica en C\u00e1diz en septiembre para tener las impresiones y feedback de las personas asistentes y hacer unos \u00faltimos ajustes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. El Camino Espa\u00f1ol, juego para la 6\u00aa edici\u00f3n de las Bellota Con<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      El juego del Camino Espa\u00f1ol que dise\u00f1\u00e9 y que la organizaci\u00f3n de las Bellota Con entreg\u00f3 en un formato en A3 tr\u00edptico con un dise\u00f1o de panfleto hist\u00f3rico de manera gratuita a los 370 asistentes, era una edici\u00f3n especial para la convenci\u00f3n, que ten\u00eda el magn\u00edfico arte gr\u00e1fico del reputado dise\u00f1ador Nils Johansson. El juego describe el per\u00edodo de 1567 a 1634, buscando reflejar la tensi\u00f3n y dificultades del traslado de tropas espa\u00f1olas a Flandes con 3 generales de la Monarqu\u00eda Hisp\u00e1nica (Duque de Alba, Ambrosio Sp\u00ednola y el Cardenal Infante Fernando).<\/p>\n\n\n\n


      Durante la convenci\u00f3n, en la mesa donde mostr\u00e9 El Colapso, expuse una copia a un tama\u00f1o mayor que en A3 de El Camino Espa\u00f1ol para que pudieseis conocer mejor el juego.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


      \u2018El Camino Espa\u00f1ol\u2019 ya tiene disponible en la BGG la p\u00e1gina del juego que cre\u00e9, y donde expondr\u00e9 novedades del juego y en un tiempo estar\u00e1 disponible el juego para descargar de manera gratuita en formato PnP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Between January 26 and 29, 2023 in the beautiful city of Badajoz I have attended a great wargames and historical games convention with 370 people and several publishers (from Spain and abroad such as NAC Wargames, Draco Ideas, Trafalgar Editions, Bellica 3rd Generation, Do It Games, Headquarter Games, VUCA Simulations, Nuts Publishing, International Team).<\/p>\n\n\n\n


          During the convention I have organized several gameplays to show ‘The Collapse’ and continue playtesting the game and its mechanics, but also the map together with the game’s graphic artist Donal Hegarty and its ergonomics to ensure that the playtest progresses smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          During the 3 days of the convention, I have played several games of different duration, where players without need to register have been able to playtest the game for one or several turns, comment on their opinions and give me great advice to continue improving the game, which has been very helpful for the game positive development and for me as the game designer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          The main purpose of the playtest was to test that the game mechanics worked and fit into the game, that nothing was broken and that the information provided to the players was accurate. I have updated the game with several suggestions that have left the mechanics ready to adjust with values and last adjustments. During this month of February, I will edit the rulebook and player aid cards so that they are clear and comfortable to use and the vassal module, so that at the beginning of March I will probably open the playtest to whoever is interested in participating, and that will be in Spanish or English, vassal or PnP so that people can choose the testing method that they prefer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


          The map shown at the convention (that is not the final map), was a way to test adjustments and color contrasts during a whole morning testing with the game’s graphic artist Donal Hegarty who came from Scotland, and with Nils Johansson. We agreed on many ideas that will improve the map, counters and cards, to improve both the ergonomics and comfort of the players, graphic aspect and information simplicity, and some VERY interesting surprises for the game scenarios that I will comment later and that will be amazing, and that will make the game experience more enjoyable. Let me to keep for a while the surprises that I am preparing with the graphic artist Donal Hegarty, and for this reason I encourage you to continue alert to \u2018The Collapse\u2019 development that I will be comment throughout these months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          ‘The Collapse’ once the open testing in vassal and PnP has progressed, it will be adjusted and finally there will be a blind testing of the game with people who have not tried the game and who will make the last adjustments of the game as if the game had just finished, in order to ensure that everything works.
          With this feedback and all the adjusted components (map, counters, cards, etc.), and also with special attention to the needs of people with visual challenges to ensure that they can play the game comfortably, I will take the game to the Pax L\u00fadica wargames convention in C\u00e1diz in September to get the impressions and feedback from the attendees and make some final adjustments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            \u2018El Camino Espa\u00f1ol\u2019 (The Spanish Road) game that I designed and that the organization of the Bellota Con delivered in a A3 format with a historical pamphlet design for free to the 370 attendees, was a special edition for the convention, that had the spectacular graphic art by the well-renowned designer Nils Johansson. The game describes the period from 1567 to 1634, seeking to reflect the tension and difficulties to transfer the Spanish troops to Flanders with 3 generals of the Spanish Monarchy (Duke of Alba, Ambrosio Sp\u00ednola and Cardinal Infante Fernando).<\/p>\n\n\n\n


            During the convention, at the table where I showed \u2018The Collapse\u2019, I had a copy larger than A3 of El Camino Espa\u00f1ol so that players could know the game better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


            ‘El Camino Espa\u00f1ol’ already has a game page that I created and that is available on the BGG, and where I will expose news of the game and in a while the game will be available to download for free in PnP format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
